For an RSS bot, how can I concatenate two input tags and place them in one output attribute?

Example:

INPUT: author = 'Slim Pickens' ;  text = 'Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country.'

OUTPUT: RSSitem.description="Slim Pickens - Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country."
